NOTES

  • Our climate is breaking down

  • we need to stop burning fossil fuels

  • A tree is an example of a natural climate solution

  • They take carbon out of the air and lock it away

  • We spend one thousand times more on global fossil fuel subsidies than on natural-based solutions.

  • we need to protect forest, restore nature and fund on help nature.

SUMMARY

According to our climate is breaking down, we should do something , such as stopping burning fossil fuels. In addition, the plants including trees, mangroves, peat bogs, jungles etc are also a nature climate solution which take carbon out of the air and lock it away.

Nature climate solutions are extremely more efficient than spending money on global fossil subsidies.

Three methods we should do are protecting forest, restoring nature and funding on help nature.

 TAKING NOTES:

  • Cats are serious problem for wildlife in Australia.

  • Roaming cats kills many wildlife per year.

  • Many Australian households have pet cats.

  • Most pet cats dont bring home the animals they killed.

  • Compare Roaming pet cats and feral cats

  • Pet owner keep cats inside 24 hours a day, give a good diet and use devices.

  • pets indoor have more benifits than pets ouside.

SUMMARY:

Cats are enormous problem for wildlife in Australia, which caused some Australia's mammal extinctions since 1788 and reducing population of many native species.

Both feral cats and pet cats kill many wildlife include reptiles, birds and mammals per year.

One-quarter of Australian households have pet cats. To protect wildlife, pet cats should better be kept in side. Only 15% of roaming pet cats bring their prey home.

An individual roaming pet cats kill more animals(186) than feral cats(748)  per year in Australia. However, the high urban density of pet cats means they kill more animals than feral cats per square kilometre per year.

The human population grows and cities expand are threaten for wildlife.

To protect wildlife, pet owner should keep cats inside 24 hours a day and give cats a good diet, also use various devices on cats.

Keeping cats indoors can go a long way towards the benifits of cats from injury and diseases etc.

Personal Reflection:

Cats are threaten for wildlife in Australia.  Pets owers should do something to protect wildlife and thier pet cats such as keeping pet cats indoor.
